The work products, such as digital maps and databases, are utilized by multiple departments including tax assessment and collection, zoning, 911 system information, and maintaining voting districts. This position requires knowledge of computer techniques in engineering drafting, potentially using AutoCAD or similar software. GIS Technicians (II) work both independently and as part of a team, with occasional public interaction. They operate under the direction of a supervisor, with work reviewed for accuracy, completeness, and adherence to policies and procedures. The role is performed indoors in an office setting and may involve some physical tasks like sitting, standing, or lifting.
