The Martin Marietta Summer GIS Internship provides students with meaningful, hands-on experience applying Geographic Information Systems (GIS) within the aggregates mining industry. This approximately 10-week program offers the opportunity to apply classroom knowledge to real-world projects while developing technical, analytical, problem-solving, and operational skills. Working alongside experienced GIS professionals, geologists, engineers, and other mining professionals, GIS Interns gain exposure to geospatial data management, mapping, spatial analysis, data visualization, and other GIS applications that support Martin Marietta's operations. Interns contribute to projects that help improve data accuracy, support resource evaluation, enhance operational decision-making, and provide valuable insights across the business.
