About The Position

Geographic Information Systems Analyst II positions perform a variety of technical and analytical duties related to the development, testing, implementation, integration, and modification of complex geographic information systems (GIS) datasets and GIS-related applications; provide technical support to end users in the day-to-day operation of GIS; and perform other duties as assigned. Eligible benefited employees originally hired on or after July 10, 2021, will be automatically enrolled in the San Diego City Employees Retirement System (SDCERS).

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree or equivalent education (i.e., minimum completed units = 120 semester/180 quarter).
• Two years of full-time professional-level geographic information systems experience (within the last five years).
• Proof of degree/transcripts, if utilized to meet the minimum requirements.
• For City of San Diego employees, proof of Out-of-Class Assignment (OCA), if utilized to meet the minimum requirements.

Responsibilities

• Perform a variety of technical and analytical duties related to the development, testing, implementation, integration, and modification of complex geographic information systems (GIS) datasets and GIS-related applications.
• Provide technical support to end users in the day-to-day operation of GIS.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
