The Division of Hematology, Medical Oncology and Palliative Care in the Department of Medicine at the University of Wisconsin and the University of Wisconsin Carbone Cancer Center (UWCCC) seeks a medical oncologist with a genitourinary (GU) clinical and research focus, to join our faculty. This is an opportunity on the Clinical Health Sciences (CHS) track for prospects seeking a Professor, Associate Professor or Assistant Professor position. We are looking for candidates with a track record of clinical excellence, cancer research focus and an interest in education as demonstrated through training and/or practice experience. Cancer research focus would include clinical, translational or health services research in areas such as precision medicine, immunotherapy, cellular therapy treatments or early phase drug development. This position would be active in multi-disciplinary GU oncology programs. The academic clinician will be expected to engage in active collaborative research and clinical trials and/or health services in the division. Independent extramural funding is desired but not expected. Informatics Leadership Opportunity: Qualified oncology candidates with an interest in healthcare informatics may be considered for an additional leadership role within UW Health Medical Informatics. Protected informatics effort may be available based on organizational needs and candidate qualifications. Areas of focus may include clinical and applied informatics, research informatics, digital innovation, artificial intelligence, and technology-enabled care transformation. Informatics responsibilities and associated FTE, if applicable, would be determined through a separate discussion during the recruitment process. This position is full or part time, 80%-100% This position requires work to be completed onsite, at a designated campus work location. This position has been identified as a position of trust with access to vulnerable populations. The selected candidate will be required to pass an initial caregiver check to be eligible for employment under the Wisconsin Caregiver Law and every four years. Applicants for this position will be considered for the titles: Professor (CHS), Associate Professor (CHS), or Assistant Professor (CHS). The title is determined by the experience and qualifications of the finalist.
