Genetics Coordinator II - Chantilly, VA, Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM. Genetic testing and counseling are rapidly advancing areas of medical genetics, requiring extensive knowledge of the principles and practice of all areas of clinical and laboratory genetics as well as genetic counseling. The impact of genetic testing results for patients and their families are often complex and life changing, ranging from childbearing decisions to cancer prevention strategies. The Genetic Coordinator will aid the Genomic Services team and Operations to ensure that clients of Quest Diagnostics receive genetics services, both consultative and laboratory, of the highest quality possible. The Genetic Coordinator will support the Genomic Specialists and Operations staff in the Biochemical Genetics/Maternal Serum Screening, Cytogenetics, Somatic Oncology, and Molecular Genetics Laboratories, including Oncology, Neurology, and Non-invasive Prenatal testing. Under the direction of, or working with a Genomic Services member, they will be responsible for assisting genomic science specialists and liaisons in their roles of providing client service and support for laboratory and commercial operations. Pay range: $58,656+ per year Salary offers are based on a wide range of factors including relevant skills, training, experience, education, and, where applicable, certifications obtained. Market and organizational factors are also considered. Successful candidates may be eligible to receive annual performance bonus compensation.
