About The Position

Under the direction of the Manager, the Genetics Assistant – Degree will be responsible for assisting with the coordination of the Genetics program including screening and accepting patient referrals, preparation and follow up of families for genetic assessment and liaison with other related fields and professionals as a member of the genetics team. Requirements

Bachelor Degree in a related Health Science or Social Science discipline
Advanced Counseling skills
Advanced Organizational skills
Ability to work within a team setting
Ability to follow safe work practices
Strong interpersonal skills
Knowledge of current trends/issues/best practice strategies
Strong knowledge in clinical genetics, molecular biology and genomic technology
Current knowledge of Genetics

Nice To Haves

Minimum one year (1) experience in Genetics

Responsibilities
