About The Position

The Genetic Counselor will perform routine counseling and analysis for genetics patients. This role assumes responsibility for procedural and systems controls, providing physicians with accurate and reliable analytical results necessary for the diagnosis and treatment of patients. The Genetic Counselor will also participate in educational and research projects/studies as needed.

Requirements

  • Board eligible or board certified in Genetic Counseling with a Master's Degree in Genetic Counseling from an accredited program.
  • Must achieve board certification within one year of eligibility.
  • New Jersey licensure within 4 months of employment and must maintain certification through the re-certification process and licensure while employed.

Responsibilities

  • Performs routine counseling and analysis for genetics patients.
