About The Position

Genetic Counselor II possesses the technical knowledge and clinical skills necessary to manage/coordinate clinical risk assessment/genetic evaluations in a manner consistent with all requirements of the health care delivery system-medical, administrative, ethical, legal and regulatory. The genetic counselor works cooperatively with genetic counselors, medical director(s), genetic assistant(s), as well as with specialty teams within the areas of oncology, cardiology and/or perinatology/obstetrics/gynecology. The genetic counselor is also responsible for participating in conferences, research activities and educational events as a multidisciplinary team member, as applicable. Requirements

• Minimum of 3 years of relevant genetics experience (may include graduate training).
• Minimum of 1 year of practice in specific subspecialty.
• Master's Degree in Genetics/Genetic Counseling or equivalent.
• Subspecialty-appropriate education required (e.g., oncology, cardiology, prenatal/perinatology, adult genetics).
• ABGC/ABMG Board Certified required.
• Current license to practice in Pennsylvania.
• Membership in related field professional organization.

Nice To Haves

• Practice in Neurology subspecialty is a plus.

Responsibilities
