Labcorp Genetics is seeking a patient facing Genetic Counselor to provide remote based genetic counseling for reproductive endocrinology practices across the United States.

Requirements

Masters degree in Human Genetics or Genetic Counseling
American Board of Genetic Counseling (ABGC) certification or Active Candidate Status for ABGC
Multi State Genetic Counselor license or ability to obtain multi-state GC licenses
Highly organized, including excellent time management skills
Strong multi-tasking ability with excellent attention to detail
Excellent communication skills, both written and oral
Strong computer skills; proficiency with Microsoft Office Application

Nice To Haves

2 years or more experience as a certified Genetic Counselor (post completion of Masters degree)
2 years or more experience of women’s health genetic counseling
2 years or more experience of infertility genetic counseling

Responsibilities

Provide direct patient care for patients and couples via telegenetic counseling (video conference)
Genetic Counseling will include gamete donor genetic risk assessments, targeted genetic test result counseling and comprehensive counseling sessions for fertility patients
Facilitate the delivery of genetic test results
Have access to the expertise of a nation-wide organization of medical geneticists, biochemical and molecular geneticists, and over 100 counseling colleagues
Be able to engage in professional growth opportunities including writing abstracts and publications, providing physician education and participate in other projects
