The Genetic Counselor provides genetic counseling, test coordination, and follow-up for patients in the Piedmont Heart Institute. The incumbent supports referring providers & clinical team, provides genetics education and outreach, and engages in genetics program activities.
Requirements
- Master’s Degree Genetic Counseling or equivalent program from an ABGC or ABMG accredited training program Required
- 1 year genetic counseling experience required
- ABGC - American Board of Genetic Counseling Board Certified in Genetic Counseling by the American Board of Genetic Counseling Upon Hire Required
- Genetic Counselor License for the State of Georgia Upon Hire Required
Nice To Haves
- Work experience in cardiology and/or clinical genetic counseling preferred
- Experience with Epic and Progeny software preferred
