About The Position

Labcorp Genetics is seeking a US remote based Genetic Counselor to join their team. In this position, this individual will use their expertise regarding hereditary cancer and other adult genetics to support an innovative results delivery tool. This role will support multiple clients nationally. The work schedule is Monday – Friday, 8am-5pm local time zone.

Requirements

Masters degree in Human Genetics or Genetic Counseling
American Board of Genetic Counseling (ABGC) certification or Active Candidate Status for ABGC
Multi State Genetic Counselor licensure or ability to obtain it
Highly organized, including excellent time management skills
Strong multi-tasking ability with excellent attention to detail
Excellent communication skills, both written and oral
Strong computer skills; proficiency with Microsoft Office

Nice To Haves

2 years or more experience of hereditary cancer Genetic Counseling post completion of Master’s Degree

Responsibilities

Support genetic results counseling program for hereditary cancer and adult genetics through: Providing results to patients using an innovative approach of genetic results reporting
Providing review of risk assessments and results reports in support of patients undergoing through the hereditary cancer testing process
Be able to engage in professional growth opportunities including abstracts and publications, physician education and other projects
Have access to the expertise of a nation-wide organization of medical geneticists, biochemical and molecular geneticists, and over 100 counseling colleagues
