Generator Technician
About The Position
Power Plus is a multi-industry provider of intelligent and efficient power solutions, serving customers including Fortune 500 companies. The Generator Service & Maintenance Division is seeking technicians to maintain, troubleshoot, diagnose, repair, and test generator systems ranging from 5 kW to 4,000 kW while providing high-quality customer service. The role involves customer interaction, completing paperwork, and using technical manuals, blueprints, and schematics. Technicians must be available for various shifts, weekends, holidays, on-call rotations, and occasional out-of-town travel and overnight stays.
Requirements
- More than 5 years of diesel generator experience.
- Mechanical and electrical aptitude and experience, particularly with diesel generators.
- Willingness to learn and use new technologies.
- Availability to work various shifts, weekends, holidays, and on-call pager rotations, with occasional out-of-town travel and overnight stays.
- Ability to safely operate heavy equipment, forklifts, and mobile cranes in accordance with OSHA regulations.
Nice To Haves
- Technical schooling or experience in automotive, transportation, commercial or residential electrical fields, or similar military experience.
- Certified Journeyman Electrician certification.
