About The Position

Mountain Home Services is seeking a Generator Service Technician to join a team focused on delivering excellent customer service. The technician performs annual preventive maintenance, diagnostic work, and warranty repairs on customer generators. Maintenance may include oil changes, battery maintenance, valve adjustments, and troubleshooting or repairing generators that are not operating properly. Technicians travel to work sites in a company vehicle and are expected to keep their tools, equipment, supplies, parts, work area, and van clean and organized. The technician will become factory trained at the Generac training facility. This position is with an independent Generac Channel Partner, not Generac Power Systems, Inc.

Requirements

• Mechanical aptitude.
• At least 1 year of experience in mechanically related job duties, such as oil changes, air filter changes, small engine repair, or similar work.
• Ability to read one-line diagrams or schematics.
• Self-motivated and able to remain on schedule.
• Integrity and ability to promote a positive company image.
• Ability to perform physically demanding tasks daily.
• Results-driven approach in a high-energy environment.
• Attention to detail.
• Ability to follow directions and work independently.

Nice To Haves

• Generac Protector training is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Gather tools and supplies for work at customer sites.
• Drive to work sites using a company vehicle.
• Perform annual generator service, diagnostics, and warranty repairs.
• Perform preventive maintenance, including oil changes, battery maintenance, valve adjustments, and troubleshooting as needed.
• Maintain tools and equipment and keep supplies and parts in order.
• Clean work areas, machines, tools, and equipment, and dispose of excess materials and refuse.
• Keep the company van clean and organized.
• Provide exceptional customer service while at job sites.
