About The Position

Adams Power is seeking a Generator Field-Service Technician to join their growing team in Hazelhurst, servicing residential standby generators throughout northern Wisconsin. This is a field-based position where you will travel to customers' homes in a company-provided service vehicle to perform routine maintenance, inspections, diagnostics, and repairs on standby generators, primarily Generac®, as well as Kohler® and Briggs & Stratton® systems. No prior generator experience is required; the company will provide training for candidates with mechanical aptitude and experience working on engines, equipment, or mechanical systems.

Requirements

• Valid driver's license with a good driving record
• Mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills
• Experience servicing engines, equipment, vehicles, or mechanical systems preferred
• Ability to work independently and manage a daily service route
• Strong customer service and communication skills
• Ability to lift up to 75 pounds

Nice To Haves

• No generator experience required. We will train candidates with automotive, diesel, power sports, small engine, maintenance, HVAC, or other mechanical experience.
• Previous generator experience is a plus but not required

Responsibilities

• Travel to residential customer locations in a company vehicle
• Perform scheduled generator maintenance and annual service visits
• Change oil, filters, spark plugs, batteries, and other service components
• Diagnose and repair generator performance issues
• Inspect generator systems to ensure reliable operation during power outages
• Complete service reports and customer documentation
• Communicate findings and recommendations to customers
• Maintain a safe, organized, and professional work environment
• Participate in manufacturer training programs
