About The Position

Adams Power is seeking a Generator Service Technician to join their Hazelhurst team. This field-based position involves traveling to customers' homes in a company-provided service vehicle to perform routine maintenance, inspections, diagnostics, and repairs on residential standby generators, primarily Generac®, Kohler®, and Briggs & Stratton® systems. While prior generator experience is not required, mechanical aptitude and experience working on engines, equipment, or mechanical systems are valued, as the company provides comprehensive training. This role offers steady work, independence, and the opportunity to help families ensure their homes have power during outages.

Requirements

• Valid driver's license with a good driving record
• Mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills
• Experience servicing engines, equipment, vehicles, or mechanical systems preferred
• Ability to work independently and manage a daily service route
• Strong customer service and communication skills
• Ability to lift up to 75 pounds

Nice To Haves

• Previous generator experience is a plus but not required

Responsibilities

• Travel to residential customer locations in a company vehicle
• Perform scheduled generator maintenance and annual service visits
• Change oil, filters, spark plugs, batteries, and other service components
• Diagnose and repair generator performance issues
• Inspect generator systems to ensure reliable operation during power outages
• Complete service reports and customer documentation
• Communicate findings and recommendations to customers
• Maintain a safe, organized, and professional work environment
• Participate in manufacturer training programs
