About The Position

Snap Inc. is seeking a 2027 Generative Media Research Intern to advance research and technology in areas including large generative models, GenAI efficiency, personalization, 3D and 4D generation and understanding, visual-language models, large-scale data, and inference frameworks. The intern will collaborate with researchers and engineers, develop state-of-the-art technology with potential product impact, and work toward publishing or patenting research. Snap supports exploration of technology transfers and academic publications and is open to collaborations extending beyond the internship. This is a 13–16 week internship in 2027. Interns are expected to work in an office at least four days per week under Snap’s “default together” approach. The position is intended for a graduate student in a technical field, with a PhD preferred, who will graduate no sooner than May 2027.

Requirements

Be enrolled in a graduate program in a technical field, such as Computer Science; a PhD is preferred.
Graduate no sooner than May 2027.
Have experience conducting academic research and applying technical concepts to real-world problems.
Demonstrate strong academic performance in technical coursework.
Have a clear vision for how research initiatives could contribute to future innovation at Snap.
Be able to work in an office for a 13–16 week internship in 2027.
Demonstrate strong problem-solving skills and the ability to solve tough technical challenges.
Be able to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic, collaborative work environment.

Nice To Haves

Strong publication record at leading venues such as CVPR, ICCV, ECCV, NeurIPS, ICML, ICLR, SIGGRAPH, or similar.
Previous experience with large generative models, including large-scale training and tuning, large-scale data, large-scale inference, model post-training, or model efficiency.
A passion for research and Snap Inc. products.
