About The Position

Bright Vision Technologies is seeking a Golang Developer to design and build high-performance backend services, infrastructure tooling, and cloud-native applications using Go. The role focuses on systems where latency, concurrency, and operational efficiency are important, and contributes to a codebase shared across multiple teams. The successful candidate will work with product, design, engineering, operations, and business stakeholders to turn ambiguous requirements into well-engineered solutions. They will also contribute to engineering quality through reviews and mentorship, and bring strong engineering discipline, clear communication, and a record of delivering production-ready work. The position is full-time, direct W2, and 100% remote within the United States. The stated salary range is $100,000–$150,000 annually. Bright Vision Technologies is a technology consulting and software development company delivering cloud, AI, data, and enterprise solutions across the United States.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
  • Five or more years of professional software engineering experience, with significant experience in Go.
  • Strong understanding of Go concurrency patterns, including goroutines, channels, and contexts.
  • Hands-on experience building production gRPC and/or REST APIs in Go.
  • Experience with Kubernetes-native development, including client-go and controller-runtime.
  • Solid experience with relational and key-value data stores.
  • Strong understanding of distributed systems and networking fundamentals.
  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines and container-based deployment.
  • Strong debugging and performance-engineering skills.
  • Strong communication and documentation skills.

Nice To Haves

  • Open-source contributions to Go-based projects.
  • Experience writing Kubernetes operators or controllers.
  • Familiarity with eBPF, service mesh, or low-level systems programming.
  • Exposure to security-sensitive Go projects, such as cryptography or authentication.
  • Experience with WASM, Tinygo, or embedded systems.

Responsibilities

  • Design and implement performant Go backend services and APIs, with attention to concurrency, error handling, and resource management.
  • Build cloud-native applications using Go and Kubernetes-native libraries, idiomatic Go patterns, well-defined module boundaries, and operational hooks that support deployment and operation.
  • Develop CLI tools, Kubernetes controllers, and custom operators for internal platforms, including clear command interfaces, robust error handling, and safe reconciliation logic.
  • Implement gRPC and REST APIs with appropriate observability and security.
  • Profile and optimize Go applications for memory use, garbage collection, and goroutine behavior, validating improvements to throughput, latency, or resource efficiency with data.
  • Integrate with messaging systems such as Kafka and NATS, and data stores such as PostgreSQL, Redis, and etcd.
  • Build automated unit, integration, and benchmark tests.
  • Implement structured logging, metrics, and distributed tracing to help operators and on-call engineers diagnose issues and understand system behavior.
  • Lead code reviews and uphold engineering standards in Go projects.
  • Mentor junior and mid-level engineers through code reviews, design reviews, pair programming, and knowledge sharing.
  • Contribute to internal Go libraries, shared platform tooling, and reusable engineering patterns.
  • Maintain current technical documentation, including architecture diagrams, design decisions, configuration references, runbooks, and operational procedures.
  • Evaluate developments in the Go ecosystem and contribute to internal patterns.
