About The Position

The Human Resources Generalist supports day-to-day HR operations and plays an important role in ensuring an exceptional employee experience. This role provides hands-on‑ support across recruitment, onboarding, HRIS administration, employee relations, benefits and leave coordination, policy implementation, and HR documentation. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, highly organized, and comfortable supporting a ‑fast-paced, growing organization. This position requires strong communication skills, a ‑customer service‑ mindset, and the ability to collaborate with employees, leaders, and HR partners to ensure consistent, compliant, and proactive HR support.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field preferred; equivalent experience accepted.
  • 2-4 years of experience in HR generalist, HR coordinator, or HR operations roles.
  • Strong understanding of basic HR processes and employment regulations.
  • Highly organized with strong time management‑ and prioritization skills.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, Teams).
  • Excellent customer service skills and a collaborative mindset.
  • Ability to work effectively in a high-volume, ‑fast paced‑ environment.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills

Nice To Haves

  • HR certifications (SHRM‑CP, SHRM‑SCP, PHR, or SPHR) are a plus.
  • Experience using HRIS systems (Paylocity preferred).

Responsibilities

  • Facilitate new hire onboarding, including orientation logistics, HRIS setup, and required documentation.
  • Ensure new hire records, E-Verify‑, I9s, and compliance materials are completed and maintained‑ accurately.
  • Maintain accurate and updated‑ HRIS records; perform routine audits to ensure data integrity.
  • Process employee changes, terminations, and personnel updates.
  • Support HR reporting, metrics, and KPI tracking for leadership review.
  • Assist with payroll inputs including PTO tracking, timecard reviews, and change forms; collaborate with Payroll to address discrepancies.
  • Serve as an initial point of contact for employee questions and concerns; escalate issues as appropriate.
  • Support leaders by providing guidance on policy interpretation and basic employee relations matters.
  • Assist in documenting employee issues and coordinating with HR leadership on next steps.
  • Maintain compliance with federal and state employment laws, internal policies, and company standards.
  • Ensure labor law postings, required documentation, and compliance materials are up to date.
  • Assist employees with benefits questions, enrollment, and troubleshooting.
  • Support administration of leave programs (FMLA, ADA, personal leave) including tracking, communication, and documentation.
  • Coordinate with benefits vendors and HR leadership to resolve issues promptly.
  • Support employee engagement initiatives, recognition efforts, and culture building‑ activities.
  • Assist with planning HR events, training, and company‑wide meetings.
  • Collaborate with HR leadership on continuous improvement of HR processes, communication, and employee experience.
  • Maintain organized HR documentation, digital files, and SOPs.
  • Assist with special projects and cross functional initiatives as‑ assigned.
  • Provide reliable administrative support to HR leadership in a fast paced‑ environment.
  • Other duties as assigned.
