Requirements

  • Diploma or degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Industrial Relations, or a related field (required).
  • 3–5 years of experience in a Human Resources role, preferably in a generalist capacity.
  • Experience supporting one or more of the following areas: Recruitment and onboarding, Employee relations, Performance management, Policy administration, Training and development, Attendance management, Health and safety initiatives
  • Working knowledge of Ontario employment legislation, including the Employment Standards Act
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to handle confidential information with professionalism and discretion.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and HRIS.
  • Ability to work independently while effectively collaborating with team members, employees and leaders at all levels of the organization.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in a manufacturing environment preferred.
  • CHRP designation or working towards completion is considered an asset

Responsibilities

  • Provide day-to-day HR support and guidance to managers and employees on policies, procedures, and employment-related matters.
  • Coordinate full-cycle recruitment, onboarding, and employee orientation activities.
  • Support employee relations, performance management, investigations, and corrective action processes.
  • Administer attendance management, disability claims, workplace accommodations, and return-to-work programs.
  • Maintain accurate employee records, HR systems (Dayforce), and reporting while ensuring confidentiality and data integrity.
  • Support compensation, benefits, payroll-related activities, and employee inquiries.
  • Ensure compliance with employment legislation, company policies, and HR best practices.
  • Partner with operational leaders on workforce planning, employee engagement, training, and organizational development initiatives.
