About The Position

Monitor the production process by spreading, inspecting, and packing product. This role involves working in a fast-paced environment with varied temperatures and requires adherence to safety and quality standards.

Requirements

Must use both hands.
Be able to work in a fast-paced environment.
Reliable.
Self-driven.
Continuously required to stand.
Frequent pushing or pulling up to 1080 pounds (with the use of a palletjack).
Lifting up to 50 pounds in a distance of 6ft.
Carrying 10-50 pounds for a distance up to 10ft.
Handling – gross motor and fine motor of the fingers.
Occasional walking, reaching and working above shoulders, body bending, hand twisting, stooping, climbing stairs, and body twisting/rotating.
Will be exposed to loud industrial type environments commonly found at plants and working with power equipment.
Varied temperatures from hot and humid to very cold.
Required to wear hairnet, smock, boots, ear plugs, gloves, plastic sleeves, and aprons provided by the Company.
Comply with Food Safety: GMP’S, SSOP, SOP, HACCP, SQF, and Quality requirements.

Responsibilities

Spread, inspect, and pack product using both hands.
Remove scrap product from the conveyor belt and place it into an inedible barrel.
Pack product into boxes weighing 9 to 35 pounds.
Close boxes and push them through a tape machine.
Stack closed boxes on skids to a height of 4-6 ft.
Transfer product to the freezer using pallet jacks.
Report any product issues to the lead, manager, or supervisor.
Work as a team under the supervision of a lead.
Sweep and clean the production area when the line is down.
Follow all safety rules and regulations.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Follow established equipment Lockout/Tagout procedures.
Report all injuries, unsafe conditions, unsafe acts, and horseplay.
Use proper lifting techniques.
Use mechanical assistance (handjack, forklift, manlift).
Use personal assistance (buddy).
Use handrails.
Use and wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE).
