Requirements

• Experience in operating outdoor power equipment such as lawn mower, string trimmer, hedge trimmer, leaf blower
• Basic knowledge of hand tools
• Education and/or experience in the performance of a variety of manual tasks that is directly related to the job and consistent with accepted practices of the trade equivalent to one year of experience
• Demonstrated ability to follow oral and written work assignments
• Experience moving relatively heavy objects and completing manual tasks for considerable periods of time
• Experience using small hand tools such as shovels, rakes, brooms, post hole diggers, hammers, screwdrivers, torches
• Experience operating power equipment such as lawn mowers, hand trimmers, air compressors, weed eaters, skill saws, drills

Responsibilities

• Facilities and grounds maintenance
• Assisting with various construction and woodworking projects
• Performing general janitorial services as assigned by the supervisor
• Operating outdoor power equipment such as lawn mower, string trimmer, hedge trimmer, leaf blower
• Pulling weeds, mulching, shoveling and raking
• Watering grass and flower beds
• Assisting the carpenter shop with various construction and woodworking projects, such as building wooden boxes, decks, and porches
• Supporting the crew
