About The Position

Worth Rises is seeking dynamic, mission-driven individuals to help dismantle the prison industry. We are interested in high-level thinkers and strategists with skills in areas such as grassroots organizing, policy and legislative campaigns, communications, research, corporate campaigns, and operations. This is a standing invitation for individuals who believe in our work, possess relevant skills, and are looking for a full-time opportunity to contribute to the abolition movement on a national scale. Worth Rises is a non-profit advocacy organization dedicated to dismantling the prison industry and ending the exploitation of those it touches. We partner with directly impacted people to expose the commercialization of the criminal legal system, advocate for the economic resources extracted from affected communities, and strip the industry of its power, aiming to create a safe and just world free of police and prisons.

Requirements

Developed understanding of the criminal legal system and strong interest in understanding the role of the prison industry.
Ability to take initiative and excel in high autonomy environments with minimal oversight.
Strong practice of personal and community accountability.
Personally driven by purpose and mission.
Strong oral and written communication skills.
Regular and disciplined practice of active listening and seeking clarification.
Genuine commitment to organizational values: act with integrity, focus on impact, deliver excellence, get it done, and operate with intellectual curiosity.
Based in the United States.
