About The Position
Bassett Healthcare Network, a progressive, academic health system in central New York and a major teaching affiliate of Columbia University Vagelos College of Physicians and Surgeons, is seeking a full-time Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant in the Department of Surgery - Division of Surgical Oncology. This individual will fill an integral role with the operative team as first assistant to Oncologic surgeons including Robotic surgeons. Responsibilities may also include clinic and hospital coverage (rounding, admitting and consulting) as needed.
Requirements
- National Certification as a Physician Assistant - NCCPA
- NYS Licensure
- BLS Certification
- DEA Required
Nice To Haves
- Previous surgical experience preferred
Responsibilities
- Serve as first assistant to Oncologic surgeons, including Robotic surgeons.
- Provide clinic and hospital coverage, including rounding, admitting, and consulting as needed.
