About The Position
Atrium Health is seeking an Advanced Practice Provider (APP) for their General Surgery team at the Union West location in Matthews, North Carolina. This is a full-time position focused on urgent/emergent and elective general surgery within a rapidly growing suburban community near Charlotte, NC. The role involves both inpatient and outpatient coverage, with no call or weekends required. The practice has been established since 2014 and focuses on bread-and-butter general surgery and endoscopy, with increasing practice and OR volume. Atrium Health Union West is a state-of-the-art community-based hospital that opened in 2021-2022, offering a full range of inpatient and outpatient care, including a 24/7 emergency department and multiple operating rooms. The general surgery program is integrated within the broader Atrium Health system, allowing collaboration with subspecialty services while maintaining a community-hospital model.
Requirements
- Must be a PA (Physician Assistant).
- At least 1 year of General Surgery experience.
- OR experience, specifically laparoscopic experience.
Responsibilities
- Inpatient and outpatient coverage for General Surgery.
- Provide care for urgent/emergent and elective general surgery cases.
- Perform bread and butter general surgery and endoscopy procedures.
- Collaborate with subspecialty services as needed.
