About The Position
Health First is seeking a motivated and adaptable APP to join an expanding surgical team. This opportunity offers a well balanced role supporting two surgeons, with involvement in the OR, inpatient care, and clinic, allowing you to be part of the full patient care journey. You’ll play an integral role in both the OR and patient care continuity, supporting cases from initial consult through post operative follow up. This role offers a balanced mix of surgical, hospital, and clinic exposure, with the opportunity to expand your OR time as block scheduling evolves.
Requirements
- PA-C or AGACNP with First Assist Certification
- Active or be eligible for licensure by the State of Florida
- Current NCCPA Certification for PAs or ANCC certification for APRNs
- BLS and ACLS certification
- Case/Procedure logs for credentialing
Responsibilities
- First assist in surgical procedures
- Perform hospital rounding and consults
- Manage pre and post operative patient care
- See new patients, follow ups, and post op visits in clinic
- Provide coverage across multiple sites as needed
