About The Position

United Health Services Hospitals is seeking a Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA) to join an established outpatient General Surgery team in Binghamton, NY. This outpatient role offers the opportunity to work closely with a collaborative team of surgeons specializing in general, vascular, and trauma surgery. The position includes a competitive starting salary of $136,000 to $152,000, with bonus incentives, a sign-on bonus, relocation assistance, and a comprehensive benefits package, including malpractice insurance with tail coverage. Requirements

  • Active New York State NP or PA license required
  • DEA registration and board certification required

Nice To Haves

  • 1–2 years of NP/PA experience preferred; new graduates are encouraged to apply
  • Prior experience as an APP or RN in a surgical setting preferred

Responsibilities

  • Conduct new and established patient visits in an outpatient setting, including comprehensive evaluations and ongoing care management
  • Perform patient consultations with thorough education on procedures and treatment plans
  • Provide postoperative care and follow-up for surgical patients, monitoring recovery and addressing complications as needed
  • Coordinate patient communication and triage inquiries in collaboration with clinical and administrative team members
  • Perform wound care procedures, including complex dressing changes and wound VAC management
