About The Position

Lovelace Medical Group is seeking a self-motivated General Surgery Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join our growing Lovelace family in beautiful Albuquerque, New Mexico. Join a surgical team of 6 physicians and 2 APP’s. This role involves a mix of inpatient and outpatient duties, with an average of 18-24 patients on clinic days. The work schedule is Monday-Friday, 8 am to 5 pm. The EMR system used is Epic with an Ambience AI tool.

Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited nurse practitioner or physician assistant program
• Current licensure in the state of New Mexico
• Must be able to obtain a DEA registration and New Mexico board of pharmacy prescriptive authority by the time of employment
• Excellent interpersonal, communication, and teamwork skills are required
• Demonstrate strong clinical judgment
• Excellent communication skills
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced surgical environment
• Strong organizational skills
• Attention to detail
• Ability to prioritize multiple responsibilities

Nice To Haves

• Experience and medical weight management is strongly preferred
