General Surgery – Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant – St. Cloud, MN
About The Position
As an Advanced Practice Provider with the General Surgery team, you will provide comprehensive patient assessments, diagnose conditions, initiate appropriate care and treatment, and monitor patient outcomes throughout the continuum of care. You will follow established protocols, collaborate with physicians, and exercise independent clinical judgment in healthcare decision-making while promoting patient- and family-centered care. The role primarily focuses on inpatient general surgery care, with limited operating room responsibilities. The practice includes 15 surgeons and 12 advanced practice providers and offers an extensive mentoring program.
Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant program.
- Eligibility for Minnesota licensure as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant.
- CPR certification is required.
- Must be able to treat all ages.
Nice To Haves
- Surgical experience preferred.
- Previous experience as an Advanced Practice Provider is preferred but not required.
