Requirements

Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) from an accredited institution.
Completion of an accredited General Surgery residency program.
Board Certified or Board Eligible in General Surgery (ABMS or AOA).
Current and unrestricted Illinois medical license (or ability to obtain prior to start).
Current DEA registration.
Excellent interpersonal, clinical, and communication skills.
Commitment to providing high-quality, patient-centered care.
Interest in becoming a partner in a suburban practice.
Interest in practicing a wide range of general surgical procedures.

Responsibilities

Provide a full range of general surgical services, including inpatient, outpatient, and emergency procedures.
Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of physicians, nurses, and support staff.
Staff a suburban level one trauma center.
Perform bread and butter general surgery operations along with acute care surgery and daytime trauma coverage.
Provide a broad range of elective general surgery, endoscopy, as well as urgent surgery and trauma.
Work with and teach surgery residents and medical students.
