About The Position
Skilled Wound Care is hiring General Surgeons in Los Angeles, California, to work as wound care physicians and lead wound care initiatives in skilled nursing facilities. The role offers a no-call, Monday–Friday practice focused on wound care in skilled nursing facilities and post-acute settings. Physicians use their surgical expertise to evaluate and treat chronic, non-healing, and complex wounds, perform bedside procedures, and follow patients through healing. The position offers clinical autonomy, surgical debridement and bedside procedures as part of daily practice, and custom software intended to reduce administrative time. Bedside procedures are described as less physically demanding than long operating-room cases. No prior wound care experience is required; comprehensive wound care training is provided. Full-time and part-time schedules are available.
Requirements
- MD or DO degree from an accredited institution.
- Unrestricted or clear medical license in the state of practice, or eligibility to obtain one.
- DEA license, or eligibility to obtain one.
- Complete confidential pre-employment DiSC testing and appropriate relevant skills testing.
Nice To Haves
- Previous wound care experience is not required; comprehensive wound care training is provided.
Responsibilities
