About The Position

We’re seeking an experienced General Superintendent to take the lead on complex water and wastewater treatment projects in the Omaha region. This is a high-impact leadership role where you’ll own field execution from preconstruction through commissioning, guiding large, multidisciplinary teams and delivering essential infrastructure that communities depend on. You won’t just run projects — you’ll help win them, shaping strategy, supporting pursuits, and building long-term client relationships that drive continued growth in the market.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of experience in water/wastewater construction
  • 3–8+ years leading as a Superintendent or senior field leader
  • Proven track record delivering large-scale ($20M+) infrastructure projects
  • Strong expertise across civil, structural, process mechanical, and electrical/I&C systems
  • Deep understanding of municipal and regulatory environments
  • Experience with scheduling tools and construction management systems
  • A leadership style that prioritizes safety, accountability, and team performance

Responsibilities

  • Lead from the front — take full ownership of site execution across major water/wastewater treatment facilities, pump stations, and pipeline projects
  • Influence project wins — support proposals, execution planning, and scheduling to help secure new work
  • Build and develop teams — grow and lead high-performing crews to advance self-perform construction capabilities
  • Drive project success — partner with Project Managers to manage budgets, schedules, phasing, and preconstruction deliverables
  • Plan with precision — develop construction sequencing, lift plans, and shutdown/tie-in strategies unique to water/wastewater environments
  • Champion safety — lead a strong safety culture focused on high-risk environments (confined space, chemical systems, electrical/SCADA)
  • Set the standard — ensure quality, compliance, and execution meet or exceed contract and regulatory requirements
  • Own the site — serve as the senior authority in meetings, coordination efforts, and field-level decision-making
  • Deliver results — manage field budgets, subcontractors, and change events while keeping projects on track
  • Close strong — lead commissioning, turnover, and successful handoff to owners and operators
