Supervision of multiple construction projects and overseeing other superintendents on multiple product types resulting in successful project completion. This role involves overseeing and supervising field staff, monitoring resource utilization with a focus on training and development, enforcing safety procedures, and managing subcontractor insurance verification. The General Superintendent is responsible for preparing and maintaining the CPM job schedule, developing owner and architect confidence, and recruiting, organizing, training, directing, and coordinating the field construction team. They will also ensure work quality by setting standards for quality control, ordering materials and tools efficiently, and preparing necessary reports such as time sheets, work orders, daily reports, and invoice approvals. Assisting the project/field team is crucial to ensure projects are completed on schedule and reach profitability goals. This includes documenting and completing all punchlists in a timely manner and reporting on project status and progress to maintain leadership informed about budget reviews, schedule reviews, and productivity. The role requires chairing or attending pre-job conferences and regular subcontractor meetings. Manual work is only to be performed in rare, exigent circumstances. The position requires the ability to travel as required by management and to supervise multiple projects over a large geographic area.
