About The Position

The General Shop Assistant supports overall shop operations by performing a variety of tasks including secondary operations, basic machining, and general cleanup. This role is flexible and may be assigned to different duties throughout the shop as needed. Full-time (M-F 6:00am - 2:30pm)

Requirements

• Ability to understand and follow written and verbal instructions in English.

Responsibilities

• Perform secondary operations such as deburring, grinding, cleaning, counting, and packaging parts.
• Load and unload materials onto machines.
• Remove parts from machines.
• Operate basic machinery such as drill presses and mills for light machining tasks.
• Assist machine operators as needed.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of work areas.
• Uphold a positive company image through professionalism and teamwork.
• Perform general shop tasks as assigned.
• Take on additional duties as required.
