About The Position

This role is responsible for maintaining inventory levels of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) by filling vending machines and ensuring proper stock. The position also involves sorting and folding gloves and Kevlar sleeves, managing waste disposal through the use of a large push dumpster and push cart for recycling bins, and performing general cleaning duties. This includes operating floor scrubbers (both sit-on and walk-behind models) to clean production areas, sweeping walkways, and shoveling snow. The role also requires supporting the press room area as needed and performing Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) functions around machinery.

Requirements

Able to utilize walk-behind and automatic floor scrubber.
Able to lift up to 30 pounds.
Able to work in changing work conditions, including outdoors in variable conditions.
Able to work in a production area around machinery.
Able to work around machinery performing LOTO functions.

Responsibilities

Inventory and fill PPE vending machines at the beginning and throughout the shift to ensure proper PPE is available.
Sort and fold gloves and Kevlar sleeves to have prepared stock for PPE vending.
Inform Tool Crib Attendant for the need to order PPE supplies to ensure adequate stock levels.
Utilize a large push dumpster to empty garbage cans located throughout the production floor.
Utilize a push cart to empty glove/Kevlar sleeve recycling bins located throughout the production floor.
Clean outside areas, including sweeping trash/debris, shoveling snow, and salting walkways.
Operate floor scrubbers (sit-on and walk-behind) throughout the plant to clean main aisleways and areas between machines.
Clean assigned production work zones daily, including picking up extra cardboard, sweeping areas inaccessible to scrubbers, and placing small scrap pieces in bins.
Provide support to the press room area when required.
Perform LOTO functions around machinery.
