Requirements

1-year minimum experience as a GS/Lube technician.
Must have a valid driver’s license.
Energetic, upbeat, and have a positive attitude.
Seek out solutions to tough problems with a strong passion for doing what's right for guests.

Responsibilities

Perform all maintenance work such as oil changes, tire rotations, suspension alignments, battery replacements, and more.
Follow all rules and regulations as spoken or written by management, including the employee’s handbook and any addendums.
Maintain a good and positive attitude and promote the team concept.
Act in a professional manner, projecting honesty, integrity, and respectfulness.
Adhere to all OSHA safety rules and regulations, as well as all city, county, and state regulations regarding shop safety, fuel spill cleanup, or other flammable or hazardous material.
Assist in all housekeeping functions as directed by management.
Examine vehicles and discuss with the service writer/service manager the nature and extent of any damage or malfunction.
Provide recommendations for repair, a parts list needed, and estimated hours for repairs using industry standard labor guides.
Provide a list of all items needing attention, whether maintenance, safety, or other.
Perform a thorough Courtesy Inspection on all vehicles when approved by the customer.
Ensure all under-car, under-hood, and preventive maintenance inspections and reports are complete and accurate.
Raise vehicles with hydraulic jack or lift, using proper equipment and safety procedures, to access mechanical units.
Perform state-mandated vehicle emission and safety inspections in accordance with state regulations.
Work as part of a team to troubleshoot guest concerns quickly and effectively.
Comply with federal, state, and local regulations that affect service operations, such as hazardous waste disposal and OSHA right-to-know.
Work closely with the service department and effectively communicate the extent of any damage or malfunctions on a guest's vehicle.
Follow and promote high standards of safety, cleanliness, and organization.
