This is an entry-level position that requires the ability to perform light maintenance and repairs, including lube, oil, and filter changes, balancing and rotation of tires, and flushing cooling systems. The technician will perform work as outlined on the repair order with efficiency and accuracy, adhering to dealership and factory standards. Responsibilities include selling services, maintaining customer records, inspecting vehicle fluid levels and tire pressure, communicating with the parts department, and ensuring customer vehicles are kept clean. The role also involves documenting all work performed, road testing vehicles, participating in manufacturer training, and staying updated on technical bulletins. Additionally, technicians are responsible for reporting machinery defects, maintaining shop cleanliness, accounting for dealership tools and manuals, and complying with all relevant regulations such as hazardous waste disposal and OSHA Right-to-Know. Safe operation of all tools and equipment, and immediate reporting of any safety issues, are paramount. Other tasks may be assigned as needed.
