Requirements

1-year minimum experience as a GS/Lube technician
Must have a valid driver's license
Current driver’s licenses
Energetic, upbeat, and have a positive attitude
Seek out solutions to tough problems with a strong passion for doing what's right for our guests

Responsibilities

Perform all maintenance work such as oil changes, tire rotations, suspension alignments, etc.
Follow all rules and regulations as spoken or written by management, including the employee handbook and any addendums.
Maintain a good and positive attitude and uphold the team concept at all times.
Act in a professional manner suitable to represent a quality organization, projecting honesty, integrity, and respectfulness.
Adhere to all OSHA safety rules and regulations, as well as all city, county, and state regulations regarding shop safety, fuel spill clean up, or other flammable or hazardous materials.
Assist in all housekeeping functions as directed by management.
Examine vehicles and discuss with the service writer/service manager the nature and extent of any damage or malfunction.
Provide recommendations for repair, list necessary parts, and estimate hours required using industry standard labor guides.
Provide a list of all items needing attention, whether maintenance, safety, or other.
Perform a thorough Courtesy Inspection on all vehicles when approved by the customer.
Ensure all under-car, under-hood, and preventive maintenance inspections and reports are complete and accurate.
Raise vehicles with hydraulic jacks or lifts to gain access to mechanical units bolted to the underside of the vehicle, using proper equipment and safety procedures.
Perform state-mandated vehicle emission and safety inspections in accordance with state regulations.
Work as part of a team to troubleshoot guest concerns quickly and effectively.
Complete full, accurate, and honest courtesy vehicle inspections.
Comply with federal, state, and local regulations that affect service operations, such as hazardous waste disposal and OSHA right-to-know.
Work closely with the service department and effectively communicate the extent of any damage or malfunctions on a guest's vehicle.
Follow and promote high standards of safety, cleanliness, and organization.
