About The Position

Sun Devil Auto, part of the Sun Auto Network, is a family-owned repair shop in Phoenix that has been serving customers since 1978. They are looking for individuals eager to build a successful automotive career. The General Service Technician will be responsible for non-technical automotive repairs such as oil changes and tire services, as well as customer transport, parts pickup, and shop cleanliness.

Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years old
• Possess current, valid driver’s license
• Possess current or expired State Inspector License or ability to obtain a State Inspector License within 30 days of hire date
• Possesses a general understanding of under the hood, mechanical and under carriage assemblies
• Ability to work Monday - Saturday

Responsibilities

• Performs tire mounting/dismounting, wheel balance and tire rotation.
• Performs oil changes and other basic services at the direction of the Shop Manager or Store Manager.
• Observes general vehicle condition during basic services and points out any obvious needed repairs or safety concerns to management, documenting vehicle condition using company inspection forms.
• Maintains cleanliness of the shop, including the service area, tire racks, showroom, and exterior.
• Safely transports customers to and from their residences or businesses using a company vehicle.
• Picks up parts, supplies, and tires from vendors and/or the corporate office using a company vehicle.
• Operates company vehicle safely and courteously, obeying all traffic laws.
• Conducts State Safety and Emission Inspections on vehicles ethically and in accordance with company and state guidelines.
• Follows all safety procedures and reports any concerns to management.
• Adheres to all company policies and procedures as outlined in the Employee Handbook.
