About The Position

First class industrial electrician with five (5) years’ experience in oil, chemical or petrochemical industries. First class industrial electrician with five (5) years’ experience in Troubleshooting and repairing of substation switchgear, PLC's, motors and lights; bending and installing conduits for circuits and controls; pulling wire and connecting circuits; reading and interpreting ladder logic, schematic drawings (primary and secondary single line drawings); working with diagnostic and test equipment such as voltmeter, ammeter and megger. Interested individuals must have the ability to coordinate work, function as a member of a team to get work done; perform tasks in any craft as incidental work; and participate in training programs to maintain and/or upgrade skills. Must have working knowledge of equipment and tools required to expedite the efficient installation and repair of refinery equipment.

Requirements

  • Five (5) years’ experience in oil, chemical or petrochemical industries
  • Five (5) years’ experience in Troubleshooting and repairing of substation switchgear, PLC's, motors and lights
  • Five (5) years’ experience in bending and installing conduits for circuits and controls
  • Five (5) years’ experience in pulling wire and connecting circuits
  • Five (5) years’ experience in reading and interpreting ladder logic, schematic drawings (primary and secondary single line drawings)
  • Five (5) years’ experience in working with diagnostic and test equipment such as voltmeter, ammeter and megger
  • Completion of a trades school curriculum; apprentice/journeyman or in-house qualification program for the appropriate craft is required
  • Ability to coordinate work
  • Ability to function as a member of a team to get work done
  • Ability to perform tasks in any craft as incidental work
  • Ability to participate in training programs to maintain and/or upgrade skills
  • Working knowledge of equipment and tools required to expedite the efficient installation and repair of refinery equipment
  • Physical ability to lift a minimum of 50 lbs
  • Able to perform physically-active assignments including work on high structures and within confined spaces
  • Able to work outside in all types of weather conditions
  • Basic computer skills
  • Pass a post offer pre-employment physical
  • Pass a background check
  • Pass a drug screening
