About The Position

Vista Radio Ltd is seeking an experienced, driven, and people-focused General Sales Manager to lead their sales team in Lethbridge, Alberta. This role involves leading a talented team, building strong client relationships, and contributing to the future growth of a local market. Requirements

  • Minimum five (5) years of sales management experience within the radio industry
  • Strong knowledge of radio advertising, digital marketing solutions, and consultative sales techniques
  • Demonstrated success building and maintaining long-term client and agency relationships
  • Proven leadership experience with the ability to coach, motivate, and develop high-performing teams
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills
  • Strategic mindset with the ability to develop and execute revenue growth plans
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative environment while managing multiple priorities
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and CRM software
  • Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, as operational needs require

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute sales strategies that achieve revenue targets and drive market growth
  • Lead, coach, mentor, and develop the local sales team through hiring, training, performance management, and ongoing support
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients, agencies, and community partners
  • Identify new business opportunities and develop strategies to grow market share
  • Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and customer needs to identify opportunities for growth
  • Develop a strong understanding of the radio and digital advertising landscape, including emerging technologies and industry trends
  • Work collaboratively with Programming, Promotions, Production, and other departments to deliver successful client campaigns
  • Prepare regular sales reports, forecasts, and revenue updates for senior leadership
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and ethical standards
  • Coordinate advertising schedules to ensure campaigns are delivered as promised
  • Lead and actively participate in sales meetings, providing direction, coaching, and motivation to the team
  • Represent Vista Radio at community events, industry functions, and networking opportunities
  • Other duties as assigned
