About The Position

Ford of Kirkland is seeking an experienced, results-driven General Sales Manager to lead all aspects of our new and pre-owned vehicle sales operations. This is a high-impact leadership opportunity for a sales professional with a proven track record of driving revenue, developing talent, and creating an exceptional customer experience. The ideal candidate is a hands-on leader who thrives in a fast-paced dealership environment, understands the Ford brand, and knows how to build a culture of accountability, performance, and growth.

Requirements

  • Minimum 5 years of successful automotive sales management experience
  • Proven track record of achieving sales and profitability goals
  • Strong leadership, coaching, and team-building skills
  • Deep understanding of dealership operations, inventory management, and sales processes
  • Experience managing new and used vehicle departments
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and organizational skills
  • Ability to analyze performance metrics and implement strategic improvements
  • Must be 18 years or older with a valid driver’s license and clean driving record
  • Able to pass a criminal background check and pre-employment drug screen

Responsibilities

  • Lead and oversee all new and used vehicle sales operations
  • Drive dealership sales performance, profitability, and market share growth
  • Recruit, train, mentor, and develop sales managers and sales consultants
  • Establish and monitor sales goals, KPIs, and performance metrics
  • Ensure outstanding customer satisfaction and retention
  • Manage inventory levels, vehicle merchandising, and pricing strategies
  • Partner with F&I, Fixed Operations, and executive leadership to maximize dealership performance
  • Maintain compliance with manufacturer standards and dealership policies
  • Monitor sales processes and implement strategies to improve closing ratios
  • Review reports, forecasts, and departmental financial performance
  • Foster a positive, performance-oriented culture focused on teamwork and accountability
