About The Position

Under direct supervision, this Entry Level position(s) perform repetitive production support operations using hand tools, associated machinery, and equipment to assist in the manufacturing and of JELD-WEN products including PAV, Glass, and other JELD-WEN related building products. General Production Support personnel assist in every facet of the operation, as directed by Leadership, to achieve the goals and objectives of JELD-WEN products as written above and are involved in every phase of production from beginning to end; They gather the necessary materials, use the appropriate hand tools, and operate applicable machinery and equipment in the various plant while assisting in the achievement of production goals, quotas, and objectives.

Requirements

• The ability to read a tape measure accurately
• Must be able to be trained on basic processes and equipment and serve as a hands-on resource in Production Support

Nice To Haves

• High School Diploma or GED preferred
• Previous production support experience in a manufacturing environment preferred but not mandatory

Responsibilities

• Operating machinery and affixing parts and support mechanisms to the product
• Trimming operations
• Final out with finished products, label and tally them accordingly to match appropriate paperwork
• Make necessary repairs to the product and load them where applicable
• Maintains a positive approach while problem solving improvement opportunities
• Maintain the work area and equipment in a clean and orderly condition and follow prescribed safety regulations per plant policies and Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) guidelines
