General Production 3rd shift - Omaha, NE
About The Position
Tyson Foods is hiring for general production positions at its Omaha, Nebraska facility, which produces bacon and bacon toppings. Team members may work in any department, including Raw Process, Cooked Bacon, and Pizza Toppings. The facility operates five days a week. Starting pay is $21.50 per hour, plus a $1.75-per-hour shift differential for third-shift placement. Overtime may be available and team members must be able to work overtime and/or weekends as needed. This location is not accepting rehires. Relocation assistance is not available. Certain roles require a background check; candidates offered such a role will receive additional documentation to complete.
Requirements
- Be willing and able to meet the physical requirements of the job, with or without reasonable accommodation.
- Be willing and able to lift up to 40 pounds or more if required; weight depends on the work area.
- Be able to stand, walk, bend, squat, stretch, climb, push, pull, and reach.
- Be able to stand for 8–10 hours on hard floors and perform repetitive motions.
- Be able to use hands and arms above shoulder level.
- Be able to work in a cold and damp environment with slippery walking surfaces.
- Complete an additional task after submitting an application to provide information for employment consideration.
Responsibilities
- Perform general housekeeping duties in the department.
- Comply with all safety, food safety, GMP, and SQF requirements.
- Perform all positions of rotation, if applicable.
- Use knives in positions where required.
- Perform other work as assigned by a supervisor.
- Work overtime and/or weekends as needed.
