About The Position

Food Production - General Production at the Storm Lake Pork Plant in Storm Lake, Iowa. This entry-level, non-skilled general labor position involves performing assigned production tasks while maintaining a safe work environment and following Tyson policies and procedures. Employees must be willing to work in any department of the pork processing facility, with placement and shift determined by department staffing and facility needs. Starting pay is $23.60 per hour. Schedules may include Monday through Saturday, based on production and operational needs. Candidates who previously worked for Tyson are subject to a minimum 180-day rehire waiting period and are limited to three times of employment.

Requirements

Must be able and willing to work in all departments of the pork processing facility.
Must be able and willing to work Monday through Saturday as operational needs require.
Must be able and willing to stand, walk, bend, stretch, climb, push, pull, and reach throughout the shift.
Must be able and willing to lift materials and products as required by the assigned work area; requirements vary by department.
Must be able and willing to work in cold, damp, hot, and/or humid environments and on potentially slippery surfaces.
Must be able and willing to perform physical labor for the duration of the assigned shift.
Must be able to perform the physical requirements of the job with or without reasonable accommodation.
