About The Position

This role involves performing various production duties depending on the specific position hired for. Responsibilities include hand packing, general upkeep, reworking rejected materials, filling case packer magazines, and managing glue pots and tape. The position also requires working with SAP/WIP, checking work orders, recipes, ingredient inventory, and code numbers. Safety is paramount, with duties including performing safety checks on equipment, ensuring safety devices are functional, and completing LOTO procedures. The role also involves operating a power jack, changing film rolls, troubleshooting machinery for minor adjustments and repairs, completing 5S activities, wearing all required PPE, reading and following directions, working in different plant areas, and performing sanitation tasks. Pallets of ingredients are obtained from staging using a power jack with a first-in, first-out process and transported to the workstation. The position also includes completing all other assigned tasks.

Requirements

• Must be able to lift 50lbs or more continuously
• Must be able to work in 30 degrees Fahrenheit
• Must be able to work in hot humid heat
• Must pass background and drug screen
• Must stand for 8 or more hours in a shift

Responsibilities

• Hand pack
• Perform general up-keep
• Complete rework of rejected material
• Fill case packer magazines, glue pots, and rethread tape
• Work with SAP/WIP
• Check work orders, recipes, ingredient inventory and code numbers
• Perform safety check on any equipment to be used in the daily operations and ensure that all other safety devices are functioning and turn-in check sheet
• Obtain pallets of ingredients from staging with a power jack using first in/first out process and transport to workstation
• Complete all other tasks assigned
• Operate a power jack
• Change film rolls
• Troubleshoot machinery and equipment to make minor adjustments and repairs
• Complete 5S activities
• Perform LOTO on production equipment
• Wear all PPE
• Read and follow directions
• Work in different areas of the plant
• Perform sanitation tasks
