About The Position

This role is in the Counter Top Division and is for the 1st Shift. Duties may include, but are not limited to: loading and unloading items from machines, conveyors, and conveyances. Operating machinery used in the production process or assisting machine operators. Placing products in equipment or on work surfaces for further processing, inspecting, or wrapping. Examining products to verify conformance to quality standards. Starting machines or equipment to begin production processes. Observing equipment operations so that malfunctions can be detected and notifying operators of any malfunctions. Removing products, machine attachments, or waste material from machines. Lifting raw materials, finished products, and packed items, manually or using hoists. Transferring finished products, raw materials, tools, or equipment between storage and work areas of plants and warehouses, by hand or using hand trucks or powered lift trucks. Packing and storing materials and products. Counting finished products to determine if product orders are complete. Measuring amounts of products, lengths of extruded articles, or weights of filled containers to ensure conformance to specifications. Marking or tagging identification on parts. Tying products in bundles for further processing or shipment, following prescribed procedures. Recording information, such as the number of products tested, meter readings, or dates and times of product production. Reading gauges or charts, and recording data obtained. Cleaning work areas, machines, equipment, vehicles, or products. Breaking up defective products for reprocessing. This job requires heavy lifting.
