About The Position

The Tyson Claremont plant is part of Tyson's Prepared Foods division, producing bakery and sandwich-type prepared foods across two operations: Bakery and RTE (Ready to Eat). This is a physically demanding, fast-paced production role requiring standing, walking, bending, and reaching for extended periods. Work is performed at production-line speed in a high-volume manufacturing setting. Candidates must be prepared for heavy lifting (up to 50 lbs regularly), repetitive motion, sustained physical activity for 8-10+ hour shifts, and the ability to work in extreme temperatures ranging from 50°F to 120°F. The successful candidate(s) must be willing and able to perform the physical requirements of the job with or without reasonable accommodation. Three distinct positions are available: RTE Production Stacker, RTE Production Supplier, and Bakery Production Stacker.

Requirements

  • Candidates who have previously worked for Tyson will have a minimum rehire waiting period of 180 days and are limited to 3 times of employment.

Responsibilities

  • Labels master cases and ensures each case has the correct date.
  • Wraps and seals boxes, making sure they're securely taped.
  • Keeps a steady supply of ready boxes for packers.
  • Checks that the correct pallet type is used for the product being made.
  • Removes strapping/cardboard from pallets when opening new boxes and disposes of it properly.
  • Maintains a clean, trash-free work area.
  • Removes labels from unused boxes once a production run ends.
  • Helps clean and inspect the entire line as needed.
  • Operate tape machine in a safe manner and report any safety hazards.
  • Sanitizing trays and ensuring liners are properly placed and replaced at breaks and lunch.
  • Maintaining adequate bread supply on bread tables.
  • Handles pallet organization for empty bread trays.
  • Breaks down and stacks cardboard.
  • Weighs and reports any dropped or broken product.
  • Following proper glove use when handling meat or cheese.
  • Keeping meat bins clean with fresh liners.
  • Ensuring trash cans are emptied with clean liners in place.
  • General housekeeping and assisting with cleanup until the line passes inspection.
  • Ensure that proper number of trays are on the line for the product being run.
  • Put tray liners in gray drop pans at break.
  • Maintain product in the bins.
  • Maintain bread supply on both bread tables.
  • Keep empty bread trays on pallet.
  • Keep work area clean of any product.
  • Break down cardboard boxes and stack in bin.
  • Follow proper sanitation guidelines including the use of gloves when handling meat or cheese.
  • Weigh all broken and dropped products and report to operator.
  • Replace leftover product back in box with liner and securely seal. Place on product pallet.
  • Ensure all meat bins are cleaned and have new liners.
  • Ensure all trash cans are emptied and clean liner in place.
  • Assist with clean up until line has passed inspection.
  • Catching, sorting, layering, and stacking bread throughout the production process.
  • Retrieve and line catch bins at designated stations near the Grouper slide.
  • Catch bread coming off the conveyor and monitor fill levels.
  • Stack and cover filled catch bins to prevent contamination and product damage.
  • Observe Pilo-Pak sealing process to confirm proper seal quality.
  • Pull sealed Pilo-Paks using proper two-handed technique and place neatly into bread trays.
  • Inspect bread for defects (misshapen, doubles, seedless, discoloration, oil contamination) and route non-conforming product appropriately.
  • Adjust equipment components (e.g., Grouper Lane Bolts, Grouper Slide, Grouper Break) as needed to maintain proper bread flow and Pilo-Pak spacing.
  • Stack filled bread trays neatly, following defined stacking heights and patterns (2-5 trays at a time).
  • Build and tape pallets of stacked trays according to standard row and taping procedures to prevent shifting during transport.
  • Operate a manual pallet jack to move completed pallets to the appropriate staging area.
  • Refill tray towers with empty trays in preparation for downtime or line changeovers, maintaining safe height limits.
  • Responsible for general housekeeping.
  • Follow all company policies, procedures, HACCP and GMP’s.
  • Compliance with company policies, HACCP, and GMP (Good Manufacturing Practice) standards.
  • Must be available to work overtime and weekends as required to meet production deadlines.
  • Must have the ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
  • Must be willing to be cross-trained and moved to other areas as needed.
