About The Position

The General Production Manager is responsible for all production operations at the facility. This includes managing all production supervisors' departments, production schedules, product rotation, CCP verification schedules, and overseeing the safety committee. This role includes responsibility to review team members in these roles and develop and improve in any deficient areas. Some travel may be required as needed. Relocation assistance is available for this position.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• 3+ years of experience in a manufacturing supervisory role or 2+ years of Tyson supervisory experience
• Basic computer skills
• Good written and verbal communication skills
• Able to communicate with all levels of management
• Team leader skills
• Problem-solving skills
• Motivation to take on special projects
• Able to tolerate environmental conditions in the area of responsibility (temperature ranges from 28°-45° Fahrenheit)
• Must be able to access all areas of the production floor

Nice To Haves

• Familiarity with processing floor operations preferred
• HACCP certification and a basic understanding of HACCP principals and the ability to perform CCP monitoring verification preferred
• Knowledge of fresh meats processing preferred

Responsibilities
