About The Position
The General Production Laborer on the Harvest Floor follows procedures to humanely slaughter and process animals. The role is responsible for meeting goals set by the Harvest Manager for line speed and quality of work, and helping ensure Harvest Floor operations are safe, smooth, efficient, clean, humane, compliant, and supportive of the team effort. This is a full-time hourly position requiring 8 to 12 hours per day. Overtime and some weekend work are required. The work involves standing for long periods while performing physical, repetitive line work; gripping, grasping, and lifting or pushing up to 50 pounds; and working in hot temperatures and a wet, humid environment.

Nice To Haves
- High school diploma or GED preferred.
- Experience in manufacturing in a similar environment preferred.
Responsibilities
- Unload and segregate live animals humanely and prepare them to enter the Harvest Floor.
- Stun animals humanely for entry to the Harvest Floor.
- Remove hides using knives, handsaws, and other powered equipment.
- Harvest blood on the Harvest Floor.
- Trim carcasses free of contaminants.
- Harvest offal products.
- Operate scales.
- Maintain production efficiency and appropriate line speed.
- Follow Humane Handling, Sanitary Dressing, safe-work practices, and regulatory compliance requirements.
- Contribute to safe, smooth, efficient, clean, and humane Harvest Floor operations.
