General Production - HIDES/TANNERY
About The Position
This position is responsible for entry level non-skilled general labor while maintaining a safe work environment and adhering to Tyson policies and procedures. These positions could work in any department of the Hide/Tannery facility. The successful candidate(s) must be willing and able to perform the physical requirements of the job with or without a reasonable accommodation. Some areas in the Hides/Tannery will vary their start and end times on a daily basis. Candidates who have previously worked for Tyson have a 180-day rehire waiting period and a 3-time limit. Certain roles at Tyson require background checks. Requirements
- Willing and able to perform the physical requirements of the job with or without a reasonable accommodation.
- Must be able to routinely push, pull, lift and carry at least 75 pounds or more if required.
- Must work in extreme hot, cold (40 degrees to 90 degrees) and wet environments.
- Must use hands and arms above shoulder level.
- Must stand 8-10 hours per day.
- May involve the use of a knife and hook to trim hides.
- Must complete the task after submitting an application to provide additional information to be considered for employment.
